A career at STB - what we look for from you

Business
Analysts and Consultants: Although STB is an IT company, the largest
group of staff within STB is Business Analysts and Consultants, people with specific
business skills and experience. With the company being focused on regulatory and
compliance reporting solutions for the financial markets, our business analysts
need to have banking and/or accounting backgrounds. They must be highly computer
literate, personable and good communicators. Project management capabilities are
also essential. The role usually involves working closely with our clients to
achieve the appropriate solutions to meet their specific needs. Software
Engineers: STB uses Delphi throughout its products, so knowledge of
up to date versions of Delphi is essential. Experience of databases (non-specific),
COM and ADO is also useful, as is a familiarity with, and affinity for, the latest
technologies. We strive to remain close to the leading edge in technology and
our tools-based approach means that developers do not need to have financial applications
experience. We look for people who can work independently and also take pride
in the quality of their work. QA Engineers:
All STB products are QA tested and documented before release, using the latest
scripting and testing tools. Engineers must have both theoretical and practical
experience and be able to discuss their findings with both ‘techies’
and ‘non-techies’. Business
Development: STB's sales people either have specific knowledge of the
financial sector, possibly having been employed in a non-sales role in a financial
institution, or are experienced and have a proven track record of selling upmarket
software. With STB moving into new markets, there are regular opportunities for
people to join in our success. Client
Support: Our Helpdesk staff are a key interface and service provider
to our clients. Interpersonal skills are essential in this role. Our staff are
drawn both from the business and technical arenas, as many of the queries are
non-technical. A good knowledge of working with PCs is essential. Recruitment
agencies should kindly note that STB operates a PSL - which is only
reviewed if needs dictate. If positions are actively being recruited for the relevant
agencies will be invited to assist. Contacts from and CVs
